There are many ways to get RSS feed out of Joomla!. You can i.e. use the RSS Feed Manager component, or you can (as on Cnxpoint.net) do RSS feed through the JComments component.
But, in this tutorial I am just using the standard RSS feed link in Joomla!.
Finding the Joomla! RSS Feed
The standard RSS feed url in Jomla! is this:http://yoursite.net/index.php?format=feed&type=rss
...so in the case for my new blog/web site OraBlogger.net, my RSS feed would be http://orablogger.net/index.php?format=feed&type=rss.
Registering / setting up Google Feedburner
- Go to http://feedburner.google.com/
You are asked to log on. If you have an existing Google account, you can log on with this account. If you don't have a Google account, create a new one using the "Create an account" button, and then go to the link above again. - In the emty field in the middle of the screen that shows up when you have looged in with your Google account, paste your Joomla! RSS feed URL (for OraBlogger it is, as mentioned, http://yoursite.net/index.php?format=feed&type=rss.

- Click "Next". The RSS feed URL that you entered will be verified, and you will soon get a screen saying "Welcome! Let us burn a feed for you.".

- Click "Next". You will then, if your feed setup is valid, get a "Congrats! Your FeedBurner feed is now live...." screen showing in your browser.

- Right now your Feedburner feed is live, but you are asked to choose some information about sats for your Feedburner site. I click for the following two:
- Clickthroughs
- I want more! Have FeedBurner Stats also track:
- After clicking "Next" a screen with several tabs (i.e. "Analyze", "Optimize", and "Publicize", etc.) will be shown.
- Go to the tab named "Optimize", anc choose "SmarFeed" on the left side. Then Click the "Activate" button.

If the "BrowserFriendly" is not activated, activate this as well.
So, What's The Difference?
Then you might ask: Uuh..so what is the difference..? As you might have noticed when you set up your FeedBurner account, you have many options to choose between, like i.e. stats. You can also choose different options to change how your FeedBurner RSS feed URL looks like.Another thing that will make it quite different is that you can set up "Google AdSense for Feeds", and make money off of your RSS feeds as well. When you log on to your Google AdSense account and set up Google Adsense for Feeds, you can choose between your Feedburner feeds that you have already set up, and you will get Google ads shown i.e. for each of your posts. This way you can make money through your RSS feeds as well.
I hope this little tutorial on How to set up Joomla RSS in Feedburner has been helpful for you.
